The FONTEMAR® evaporators produce 5 ppm purity fresh water from sea water. We only have to supply warm water obtained, for instance, from the jacketwater of a motor. This operation is based on the principle of distillation. The sea water is boiled under vacuum at low temperatures in order to form vapour. Once this vapour has been condensed, fresh water is obtained and sent to a water deposit impelled by a water pump included in the equipment. The ejecting system produces vacuum while removing the salty residues for the device. The use of non ferric materials guarantees a long lifespan and the high quality of the water obtained. Our standard manufacture range encompasses productions from 1,500 to 30,000 litres per day.
